Russian Wooden Dolls

After you have finished playing do not leave Matryoshkas within easy reach of your little one until your child is big enough to be able to look after them and play with them sensibly and with understanding. If this wonderful doll ends up somewhere in a toy box, mixed with all of the modern throw away gifts our children accumulate, then your child will lose interest very quickly, and all the dolls will be scattered all over the place and, eventually, they will be lost.

In the very first games with Matryoshkas your participation is essential. You must make the static dolls come alive, make them full of joy and laughter, and sometimes even naughty. A lot depends on your words and intonation to help your child to visualise and imagine different situations and enjoy the games you are playing.

Also try to give your child as much freedom as possible and also help their thinking. Help them create their own Matryoshka world where your child is going to be the only judge and decision maker. It is better if there are two sets of 10 dolls to be able to find pairs similar in size from two sets, however if you do not have them, it is also possible to find a game for 3 or 5 doll sets. The fist time a little one discovers Matryoshka and its secrets is very important. It should very exciting and full of surprises.
